Production Method:These pipes are basically a single whole dried Tagua seed (aka vegetable ivory) that is drilled through to create the 3 main holes for the pipe: the chamber on top, the lip on the back and the carb hole on the side. Finally, a metallic screen is added to the chamber. The Tagua Palm only grows in the northern region of the South American rainforest (mainly Colombia and Ecuador). When the fruit from the palm is ripe it falls to the ground releasing the fresh Tagua seeds (AKA Vegetable Ivory). At this point, the seeds are harvested and set out to dry for 6 to 9 months and then they become rock solid resembling ivory in color, texture, and hardness. Now the Tagua seeds are ready to be polished in a tumbler and then drilled to become beautiful vegetable ivory pipes :)
